Some students email us saying they ordered the right treatment but it didn’t register in the system. When we check their case, we usually find they entered a medication group instead of a specific drug — things like “Anti-hypertensives,” “Antibiotics,” or “Corticosteroids.”
Just so you know, these broad groups don’t work on the USMLE Step 3 CCS. The system expects a specific medication and will usually pop up a message telling you that. A lot of students miss these pop-ups because they’re in a hurry.
Pro tip: Always take a second to read the pop-up prompts. You don’t have to study them word for word, but a quick skim can save you a lot of frustration and lost points.
